May Update – Goals from April
I haven’t posted in a while so I’m going to start off by referring back to my last post which was dedicated to my ranking goals for the end of April and early May. To start off, I did try to get a few more links to my NHL betting website by writing a couple articles for friends websites and doing more link exchanges. However, I seem to have dropped a little bit in the rankings. Hopefully once the links are found Google will adjust the rankings and I will be bumped up. It could be a little too late though, with the NHL season almost coming to a close.
If you read my last post you’ll also know my NHL bracket is completely busto. I had the Caps vs the Red Wings in the finals…..enough said. My NBA Odds website is tops in Canada for its main keywords and 4th in Google USA. I’ve been getting my best traffic numbers ever to that site so I’m happy about that. I would still like to move up in the USA Google though because thats where most of the NBA searches will take place. My NBA betting lines and NBA spreads traffic have been down though, so I’ll need to work on getting some more link to those sites.
The Kentucky Derby site I partnered with Kevin for exceeded both of our expectations! It didn’t look good coming up on the Derby, but the weekend removed all doubts. We’re now working on a Bet Belmont Stakes site for the third race of the triple crown. Hopefully Super Saver can win the Preakness race so there will be a ton of interest surrounding Belmont and if Super Saver can win the triple crown!
This month I will also be trying to improve my calls to action on the majority of my websites. I haven’t used buttons yet, but seeing how well the button converted on the Derby site made me realize that they were definitely worth the investment and the time!
CPALead hasn’t been doing as well for me lately and it’s making me consider getting out of the movie site niche after using all of the domains I registered. The first two movie sites I created have done very well, but since then I haven’t been able to rank in the same fashion. I’ve been doing things pretty well the same way and it’s making me think that there is just more competition now for those terms. I also like the idea of a website being able to make me money year after year and the movie sites do dwindle to near nothing a couple months after the release. It’s something to think about anyways.
